Philadelphia Eagles have been urged to extend defensive tackle Moro Ojomo before the start of the 2026 NFL season. With just one year remaining on his current contract, the Eagles should look to lock up Ojomo long-term. Aaron Schatz, writing for ESPN, named extending Ojomo as a key move for the Eagles to make before the season. Ojomo had a breakout season in 2025, ranking 11th among qualifying interior linemen with a 10% pass rush win rate and posting six sacks and 38 total tackles. He's expected to have a prominent role on the defensive line again in 2026. And with Eagles general manager Howie Roseman typically proactive in locking up young talent, it's likely he'll consider an extension for Ojomo. Ojomo played sparingly in his first two seasons but saw an increase in on-field opportunity last season, starting in nine games. He posted career highs in combined tackles, QB hits, and sacks. So the Eagles will be keen to keep him. Ojomo's versatility is also a key factor, as he can line up at end or tackle. The Eagles will want to maintain consistency on their defensive line, especially with uncertainty surrounding an extension for Jalen Carter next offseason. Ojomo's rookie contract is set to expire after the 2026 season, making an extension a priority for the Eagles. With several months before the season starts, the Eagles have time to hammer out a deal.
