Philadelphia Eagles Eye Improvement with New Offense

Philadelphia Eagles' offense is gearing up for the 2026 season with a new look, following the trade of A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots. NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has outlined the team's best-and-worst-case scenarios, citing the importance of QB Jalen Hurts' performance. Hurts, who signed a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023, will be working with his sixth play caller, Sean Mannion, a former NFL QB. Mannion has already connected well with Hurts, praising his accuracy and athleticism. The Eagles' offense will rely heavily on Hurts, who finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards, and eight rushing touchdowns. And with little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season, he's under pressure to deliver. So, the team's success will depend on Hurts' ability to adapt to Mannion's playbook. But if the changes lead to better chemistry in the passing game, the Eagles offense should be back to where it was a few years ago. The Eagles added Marquise Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Makai Lemon to their roster, which could provide a boost to their offense. Knox wrote that if the team finds an early passing rhythm, they should be back in the Super Bowl mix. However, if Mannion isn't ready to be an OC, the offense won't be any better than it was in 2025. The Eagles will be looking to improve their performance, and it all starts with Hurts and Mannion. With 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards, and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career, Hurts has the potential to lead the team to success. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP, and the team is counting on him to do it again.
